Cute, similar to Alva, but we had some leaks, December 1, 2015

Nearly all of my other diapers are by Alva, which many people tend to believe are cheap. So let me preface by saying I personally feel Alva diapers are better than these.

They are similar to Alva diapers in many ways. The shells are nearly identical, although I personally feel the plastic lining inside these shells are a little less waterproof than those in Alva, as we’ve had leaks through the BODY of the shell while my daughter has worn these, and I’ve experienced no leaks whatsoever with Alva.

The inserts are honestly not the best. There seemed to be no clear distinction as to whether they were made from cotton, microfiber, or something else. But what you receive are very thin, flat pads with a scratchy, almost terrycloth sort of feel to them, and no matter how many washes they sustain, they just don’t absorb nearly as much as any other inserts I’ve used. I have to double up on them or pair them with an Alva insert just to prevent leaking.

That being said, these diapers are adorable. This is probably the cutest design set I’ve seen from any diaper brand on here, and you get 7 diapers which is honestly excellent for the price even if the quality isn’t 100%. I also am a huge fan of the wet bag. It’s the only one I use now. It’s waterproof, has a pretty design, and the size is actually functional unlike other wet bags that can barely fit two diapers inside. It also really contains odors and I don’t have to worry about my bag smelling bad when I’m out and about.

I would buy these again, but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone just starting out that might not have other inserts to fall back on.

These are the first and only cloth diapers I have tried and I love them. I washed the liners the recommended 4 times before using and we had no leaking at all. I’m amazed considering my huggies & pampers leaked poo at least twice a day. I figured i could try these and I would be saving money and instead of washing stained clothes it’s diapers. I used the “quick wash” feature and there’s no staining and they still look brand new (it’s been a week). I hung them to dry over night and theyre dry by morning.

I did buy the disposable diaper liner for the poo. It sticks to the liner. Instead of flushing the disposable liner I just wrapped it (and the wipes) in a paper towel and threw that in the diaper genie. Then I put the wet diaper in the wet bag. I didn’t notice any odor at all from the wet bag either.

The front zipper on my wet bag was damaged when I received it, but I responded to the email the company sent and told them about it and they said they would send me a whole new set of diapers! I’m so pleased that I went with this brand instead of the more expensive ones I was first looking at. I figured if cloth diapering didn’t work out I would have some good swim diapers.

I would highly recommend giving it a try. & the prints are all SO cute!

This review is from: Baby Cloth Pocket Diapers 7 Pack, 7 Bamboo Inserts, 1 Wet Bag by Nora’s Nursery (Baby Product)
Don’t be fooled by the low price- these are some of the best cloth diapers on the market! They work WAY better for us than Charlie Banana, even though those cost twice as much. I’ve tried many brands, and these are some of the best. A few things to note:
-They were too big for my baby until he reached about 12 pounds.
-Buy an extra set of inserts to double up at night.
-They dry quickly in the dryer, even though I use a low heat setting as recommended by the manufacturer. They wash up beautifully!
-I purchased a large variety of diapers to try out, but after experimenting I can say that my perfect stash would consist of 2 sets of Nora’s Nursery diapers (with extra inserts) and 15 Bum Genius Freetime for when baby hasn’t grown into the Nora’s yet and when you don’t feel like stuffing pockets. I have a rather chunky, heavy-wetting boy in case that helps anyone who is looking to create a good cloth setup.
