Great, but oversized and wasteful, March 27, 2015

These are great in that they do an excellent job of keeping the smell of a dirty diaper contained, especially when you’re out and either don’t have access to a trashcan or don’t want to leave a diaper in your friend’s trash. The downside is that they are way oversized which means you are left with a lot of extra plastic that is wasted and could have been used for more bags. It seems like because of this, the rolls don’t last very long.

Not Just for Diapers! Amazing for Keeping Your Cat Box Waste Odor Free!, December 10, 2016

These aren’t just great for containing smelly diapers – they are *wonderful* as trashcan liners in small trashcans, most notably bathroom trashcans, which can have often have their own ‘aroma’ problems. In fact, I use them for the bathroom where the cat box is, and I scoop the box into a Downtown Pet Supply Pet Waste bag (these are bags like you carry while walking the dog), tie it up, and then toss it into the trash can lined with this Arm & Hammer diaper bag refill, and seriously, you cannot smell *any* cat smell!

I’ve tried this with regular trash can liners, and I think it must be the baking soda that makes all the difference!

For what it’s worth, I use this litter (which also helps a lot, as it dries out the material in the cat box): Fresh Step Crystals Premium Clumping Cat Litter.

I realize this isn’t your usual review for diaper bag refills, but I figure if it helps even one person who also has a cat along with a baby in diapers, my work here is done. 🙂

I cannot stress enough how great these bags are!, March 10, 2015

These bags are the best diaper solution in the market. Having grown up surrounded by my older siblings’ babies, I’ve seen a variety of contraptions and ideas over the years. From using supermarket bags to a diaper genie. Now that I have my own child I was originally disappointed as there appeared to be the same options as there was before. Not wanting to go with something clunky or space consuming, my wife purchased a small starter pack of the Munchkin Bags at Babies R Us. Immediately I realized that these were the best option on the market. Not only are the bag rolls small and compact, they do a strictly incredible job of masking the smells in question. Unlike using bags scavenged from other uses, these have a nice powdery smell to them that masks the baby’s poop. And, unlike a diaper genie, you just through these away with no need of a giant pile of excrement in a plastic bin taking up space in your baby’s room.

We use the bags two ways. First off, if there’s any traveling in order, the bags a convenient enough for one-time use. You just tie them up and there’s no need to worry that the smell will leak where you dispose of it (i.e. you don’t destroy your friends home when your baby poops). At home though is where these bags really shine. Clearly the bags are a luxury, as such their price per use can be detrimental if you continuously discarded them after a single usage. Amazingly though, you can pile five, six, seven diapers in them and the smell never leaks between changes. This has allowed us to use one or two bags per day, making it far more cost effective.

I cannot stress enough how great these bags are, and the Amazon price for the large set is the best deal out there. Do yourself a favor, buy the big pack and you’ll be good to go for months at a time.
